The Armory (For Men)
“20 Now may the God of peace, who through the blood of the eternal covenant brought back from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep, 21 equip you with everything good for doing his will, and may he work in us what is pleasing to him, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Traditionally the armory was a place where soldiers would return to after battle to be re-equipped and restocked and prepare to engage with the enemy once again. Make no mistake men, we are in a time of spiritual warfare. Biblical values on the family, sex, justice, faith, work, gender, and masculinity are all under attack by culture.
Meeting every other Wednesday evening, these meetings become a place where Godly men can once again become re-equipped by Brothers-In-Christ. Currently, we are working our way through “Disciplines of a Godly Man” by R. Kent Hughes. This is not a lecture series but rather a truly interactive evening with plenty of opportunity for discussion. We meet from 7:00 to 9:00 pm every other Wednesday beginning in the fall and lasting until spring. Coffee and cookies are usually available. Check the church’s calendar for exact days.
